Analisis Keselahan Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Tentang Gerak Lurus Siswa Sma Negeri 5 Pekanbaru
Errors are deviations from things that have been known to be true, mistakes made by students in solving problems can be used by the teacher as a tool in knowing the extent of students' abilities, so that the difficulties experienced by students in the learning process can be known. The main objective of this study is to describe the types of errors made by students in solving physics questions in the topic straight motion in SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. In this study, the population is 360 students of SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. Samples were taken randomly so that a sample of 72 students was obtained. The instrument of this research is essay questions which are arranged based on common error indicators made by students. Data was collected by giving essay test questions to the sample. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis with percentage techniques, which provided an overview of the level of errors made by students. The results of this study provide information that there are 6 types of errors that are often made by students, of the 6 questions tested the types of errors that occur most by students, namely the type of conceptual errors with a total of 93 errors, while the fewest types of errors are mathematical errors with total error 6 times. For total errors in each type can be totaled on the type of error using the data occurred 19 times, the type of counting error occurred 51 times, the type of answer strategy error occurred 18 times, and the type of question error not responded occurred 24 times.
