Perkembangan Komunitas Keamanan Asean Tahun 2008-2015

This thesis describes the development of ASEAN till the ASEAN Community Pilar and analyzes and explains the prospect of the formation of the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC). The Development of the ASEAN Security Community is measured by three tiers based on Adler and Barnett. The ASEAN Security Community has only been officially authorized, coinciding with the ASEAN Blue Print, in 2008, which would contine till 2015.
This research utilizes a descriptive-qualitative analysis model, library research, and data collection methods that make us of documentaries, books, journals, theses, report, and websites. The scope of this thesis is the ASEAN Political-Security Community Pilar from the ASEAN blueprint pf 2008-2015. This thesis also employs data obtained directly flom interviewed sources and official ASEAN archives.
The results of this research show that the ASEAN Security Community is in Tier 1 of the Adler and Barnett scale. This means that ASC has fulfilled the initiation conditions for a security community. On Tier 2 (conducive factors of development) and Tier 3 (needed conditions), ASC are not yet able to fulfill all parts of Tiers 2 and 3. It can be said that the ASC in 2015 has been utilized seriously, although there are still some issues that need to be resolved to achieve all the goals abd dreams of this organization in the future.
