Politik Pembangunan: Smart City Dalam Implementasi Rpjmd Kota Pekanbaru Tahun 2017-2022

This research was departs from the problems of development in city Pekanbaru start from environmental problem, economic, educational, mobility and public service issues that have not been maximized. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the Smart City in Pekanbaru in terms of solving the problems of the development of the Pekanbaru City and assessing the success or failure of the implementation of the Smart City program in Pekanbaru so far.
This study was used a qualitative method with a descriptive qualitative approach where the purpose is to describe and describe a situation (object) and in it there are descriptive, recording and analysis efforts namely Smart City Implementation in Pekanbaru City. Primary data is obtained directly from informants in the form of interviews and observations. Secondary data was obtained from books, journals and documentation relating to Smart City.
The results of this study is indicate that the implementation of the Smart City Madani program of Pekanbaru City Government has not been successful. This condition is marked by the program not being able to encourage the formation of new patterns of leadership structure and good governance, there is no involvement of other stakeholders other than government institutions, intelligent infrastructure is still limited and limited financial resources and financing models have not been able to answer the challenges and opportunities going forward and only a few programs from the six pillars of the Smart City Madani Pekabaru were implemented, namely the madani smart cards, Madani Mosque, PMBRW and Pekanbaru Comand Center.
