Upaya Bimp-Eaga (Brunei Darussalam – Indonesia – Malaysia – Philippines East Asean Growth Area) Dalam Membangun Konektivitas Antar Kawasan

This is a political economic studies in international relations which describes about the development of connectivity in BIMP-EAGA’s region. The development of inter-regional connectivity is one of the main aspects for BIMP-EAGA to increase the value of trade and tourism, which was indicated by the formation of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between countries in the land and air transport sector in 2007. The development of connectivity through these MoU will be expect to bring positive influence on the value of international trade and tourism.
This is qualitative research which used descriptive methods, and collecting data from books, journals, official publications and relevant websites. This paper used the structuralist perspective and international economic cooperation theory proposed by Caraiani and Georgescu.The object of this research is Indonesian.
The result of this research shows that the international trade and tourism are not affected by the effort of BIMP-EAGA on connectivity development, because until now the MoU has not been implementing entirely but the value of trade and tourism between Indonesia and other EAGA member is continue to increase. It is indicate by the table and graph of trade and tourism revenue value between Indonesia with Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Philippines in the 2007 - 2014 periods.
