Pengaruh Salinitas Yang Berbeda Terhadap Tingkat Stres Dan Pertumbuhan Ikan Bawal Bintang (Trachinotus Blochii, Lacepede) Dalam Sistem Resirkulasi

ABSTRACT
The study aims to obtain the best salinity on changes in stress levels through observation of cortisol hormone levels and growth of silver pompano (Trachinotus blochii). This research was conducted by keeping silver pompano size 10-12, density of 20 fish in each container with water volume of 80 L using experimental method of completely randomized design (RAL), one factor with five treatments and three replications. The treatments were different salinity: 1) 5 ppt, 2). 10 ppt, 3). 15 ppt, 4). 20 ppt and 5). 25 ppt for 56 days. The results showed that the highest growth in treatment 3 (15 ppt) with 2.32 cm in length and 17.73 gram in weight. The specific growth rate is not significantly different with the highest value 0.87 % (15 ppt and 20 ppt) while the highest feed efficiency, feed conversion, survival rate and cortisol level was detected in treatment 3 (15 ppt) with 80,79%; 1,24; 88,33% and 50,923 nmol/L respectively.
