Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Nelayan Berbasis Gender Dalam Meningkatkan Ekonomi Rumah Tangga Di Desa Darul Aman Kecamatan Rupat Provinsi Riau
The fishing community is one of the communities that needs attention from the government, from 2012 the Bengkalis District Government has created a Village Empowerment Program (PPD) in the form of a Savings and Loan Village Economic Unit (UED-SP), this program can help improve the economy of village-based communities entrepreneurship. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the UED-SP empowerment program that has been carried out so that it can create a scenario for empowering gender-based fishing communities in Darul Aman Village. The method used in this study is the survey method. The sampling technique is Purposive Sampling.
Data needed in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from interviews and direct observations using questionnaires to 23 respondents of fishermen households. While secondary data was obtained from the UED-SP office and the Bengkalis Regency Marine and Fisheries Service. Data analysis carried out in this study using the Moser analysis model.
The results of this study indicate that the role of household members is still not balanced, namely the reproductive role of the dominance of fishermen women is still high, the productive role of the role of women fishermen is very little because many fishermen in Darul Aman village do not work or have a side job besides being housewives and in the community role fishermen women have no role other than women's religious activities. Evaluation of Darul Aman Village's UED-SP village empowerment program that can be done, namely UED-SP, must collaborate with stakeholders in increasing the participation of women fishermen to contribute to the program so that women fishermen in Darul Aman Village can provide income contributions to their households. While the scenario of gender-based fishing community empowerment to improve the household economy is to make a business of smoked thorn fish, Krispy lomek fish cracker business, shrimp paste business and seafood stall business.
