The world system theory explains a territorial division of labor in the production, exchange of goods and raw materials. The division of labor refers to the strengths and relations of production in the world economy as a whole. This division of labor leads to an interdependent region, namely the core state, the semi-periphery and the periphery. The theory of hegemony to be used as a dominance of the power of a social class over other social classes, through intellectual and moral leadership aided by domination or oppression. Both Theory will clarify the prospect of Indonesia's position if it joined the TPP.
From the results of this study can be concluded that the position of the Indonesian state does not change from the periphery to semi-periphery or core country. The Indonesian state is even a good market for other TPP member countries without good prospects for the Indonesian state.
