Institusionalisasi Partai Politik (Studi Tentang Konsolidasi Internal Dpd Partai Demokrat Provinsi Riau Pasca Pilkada Riau Tahun 2013)

The institutionalization of Political Parties is an internal strengthening process towards the running of party machinery. Mapping of relationships and interactions between boards, cadres and members are the three elements that determine how the party consolidation can be realized, as well as the driving force of the internal and external dynamics of political parties. If an internal party is institutionalized, a party is supposed to be half way to interact and compete in a party system. That is, without ever organizing itself internally, do not expect the party can perform various functions expected by the public during, or compete in an election with full force. Therefore, this study aims to see the institutionalization of the Democratic Party of Riau Province after the elections of Riau in 2013. The analysis in this study uses the institutional theory of Larry Diamond and Richard Gunther and conducted with qualitative methods.
This research show that the problems that exist in the Democratic Party of Riau is a very complex issue because the culture and the mechanism of democracy are not carried out consistently. The emergence of internal party factions is the initial turmoil of political turmoil in the party's internal. Then aggravated by the non-run of cadreization so that impact on cadre loyalty development. The emergence of factions and non-implementation of the regeneration shows that the institutionalization of the democratic party has not gone well. Other than that, the lack of cadre data base, unclear financial resources and lack of coordination agenda and consolidation of the party shows that the democratic party has not been organizational enough. Furthermore, the building of democratic political identity is not as solid as there is no joint issue that was built as a party jargon campaign.
