Julo-Julo Baralek Dalam Resepsi Pernikahan Anak Di Nagari Batubalang Kecamatan Haraukabupaten Lima Puluh Kota Provinsi Sumatera Barat

Julo-julo baralek is one of the solutions which is selected in lightening the economic burden of marriage on Nagari Batubalang society. In this study, the writer intends to examine the procedure of the implementation of julo-julo baralek in Batubalang Nagari and describes the three capital (economic, cultural, social) in the context of julo-julo baralek. Social capital can be seen further from three aspects namely: network, trust, value of norms and social institutions. While, the theory used is Bourdieu's understanding of habitus that encounters in sphere capital (capital), which can be economic capital, cultural capital or symbolic and social capital. This research uses descriptive research type with qualitative approach. Informants of this research are five members of julo-julo baralek in kanagarian Batubalang, Harau Sub-district, Lima Puluh Kota Regency selected by using purposive sampling technique. From the data was obtained in the field, it shows that the procedure of julo-julo baralek implementation takes place in non-routine time intervals and in the process of withdrawal of julo-julo there is no drawing process and also no face-to-face meeting between each member because it is done month before baralek is held. For economic capital issued by members of julo-julo baralek, the nominal amount is not too large (can be repaid) and it can also be suspended payment for some times until members who have the obligation pay the dues. For the utilization of cultural capital, the people of Nagari Batubalang share the same customs and traditions of Minangkabau custom, so they have no difficulty in understanding the culture. Furthermore, the utilization of social capital (network, values and norms in social institutions and trusts) is considered the most important possession. In Nagari Batubalang there is no economic institution that can help alleviate the economic burden that arise in meeting other life needs. Therefore it is necessary and important that Nagari facilitates the society in forming a legal cooperative.
