Analisis Isi Lambung Ikan Betok (Anabas Testudineus) Di Danau Lubuk Siam Kecamatan Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau

Abstract
Anabas testudineus Bloch is one of freshwater fishes that inhabit in the Lubuk Siam Lake. To understand the type of food consumed by A. testudineus, a research has been conducted at July to August 2019 . Sampling was conducted once/ two weeks interval for two months. There were 97 fishes captured, but 22 of them had empty stomach and they can not be used for stomach content analysis. The analysis was conducted using a volumetric method. Stomach content was analyzed as a basis to calculate the Preponderance Index (PI). Result shown that the main food of the fish from the Lubuk Siam Lake was plant (PI 56.96%), the complementary food was fish (PI 26.56%) and unidentified debris (PI 12.50%), and additional food was insects (PI 3.13%) and crustacean (PI 0.85%). Data obtained indicate that this fish can be categorized as omnivore.
