Economic aspects of the pineapple chips agro-businesses in the sub-districts Tambang Kampar is a very profitable business. In addition to increasing revenue for entrepreneurs pineapple chips, this business is also able to provide a multiplier effect on the external economy. The purposes of this study were to 1) determine the processing and marketing, 2) analyze the income and value added, 3) asses the internal and external factors that influence the development of pineapple chips agro-industry, 4)formulate alternative agro-industry pineapple chip development and strategy. The average use of pineapple as much as 2,392.95 kg of raw materials amounting to 3,861.89/kg which requires a fee of USD 9,300,147.76/month. Average production amounted to 266.67 kg/month with a selling price of Rp 90,000/kg. Pineapple chips agro-industry average gain profits amounted to Rp 1,270.07. Given the added value of agro-pineapple after pineapple chips processed in to product amounted to Rp 2,508.98, - or about 25.34 percent, which means having sufficient levels of added value. Strategies that could be implemented by agro-pineapple chips for business development was a strategy that supports growth policies agrresive. While on the SWOT matrix could be the was SO strategy that was strategy that harnesses the power of the agro-industry to seize the opportunities that exist.
