The objectives of the study were to describe the mentoring system implemented by agricultural contracted workers and THL-TB, analyzing the individual characteristics, motivation, competence and independence of agricultural extension workers and THL-TB and analyzing the relationship between individual characteristics, motivation, competence and independence performance of agricultural contracted workers mentor and THL-TB. The reseach was conducted in August 2016 – March 2017 in Dumai and Siak. Sampling by census sampling. The result ofb the reseach shows that the agricultural mentoring system in Dumai and Siak Regency is good enough and if both compared, Siak Regency has better system than Dumai City, Agricultural mentoring of Dumai City has individual characteristic, motivation, competence and independence in medium level. Meanwhile, agricultural mentoring of Dumai City has individual characteristic, motivation, competence and independence in high level, and there is a very strong and positive relationship between performance with individual characteristics, extension motivasi, extension competence and independence extension.
