Studi Tentang Pemilik Usaha Sentra Industri Rotan Terhadap Rencana Relokasi Di Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir Kota Pekanbaru

This research focuses on characteristic of rattan industry center business owner and their responses on relocation plan to Rusunawa area in Rumbai Pesisir sub-district. Rusunawa have been built by the government since 2014 and the government plans to relocate the rattan stall, however the enforcement have been not realized. To assess the characteristic of rattan industry center business owner can be observe by the age, gender, education, hometown, revenue, business fund, land ownership status and business duration. The response of rattan industry center business owner can be observe by the structural and functional condition such as Rusunawa existing condition, management of business place requirement, experience and personal assessment. The information obtained by the researcher was from 5 informants and several related offices as supporting informants both from government and rattan industry center business owner. The method applied by the researcher was purposive sampling method with create interview precept, observation and documentation. Model of this research is qualitative descriptive research using rational choice theory. This research aim to cognize the characteristic of rattan industry center business owner and the their responses on relocation plan to the Rusunawa. The result of this research shows that the characteristic of rattan industry center business owner is they who come from the same tribe, Minang tribe with education level between Junior High School- Senior High School, age range about 35- 36 years and revenue 15- 25 million rupiah. Whereas the response of most the rattan business owner assess negatively so that the rattan business owner prefer to stay at the business place currently.
