Ketergantungan Nelayan Suku Laut Terhadap Tauke Di Desa Panglima Raja Kecamatan Concong Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau

This research was conducted in Panglima Raja Village Concong Sub-district Indragiri Hilir Regency Riau Provinces. This research was aimed to determinethe factors that cause Sea Tribe fishermen to depend on the tauke and the types of dependence itself. The method used in this study is a survey method with a triangulation approach with the number of informants in the study totaling 17 informants. The result showed that three is a depedency between Sea Tribe fishermen against tauke, the factors that cause fishermen to depend on the tauke are caused (1) economic factors, including not being able to manage income and household consumption that is not controlled, (2) social factors, including the lack of access to market information and the low network of cooperation between fishermen and outsiders, and (3) cultur factors, including factors in the mindset of undeveloped Sea Tribe fishermen and bad habits that are often carried out. The depedence between Sea Tribe fishermen towards tauke is also supported by the assistance provided by tauke to fishermen in fasilities and infrastructures to go sea such as fish landing place, ships, and also fishing gear. In addition, assistance provided by the tauke to fishermen in the from of money to meet the needs of fishing.
