Analisis Pemahaman Konsep Pada Materi Gelombang Bunyi Dan Gelombang Cahaya Pada Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri Se-Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru

The main purpose of this research is to know the level of understanding of student concepts in sound wave and light waves material on class XI senior high school in the Tampan Pekanbaru. Population of this research are all students of class XI in senior high school 12 Pekanbaru and senior high school 15 Pekanbaru. and the sample of this research was 65 students. The research instrument was a concept understanding test, arranged based on indicators understanding the concept of translation, interpretation, and extrapolation. Questions in the form of a written test in the form of multiple choice with 26 items then analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of the study informed that the level of understanding of grade XI in senior high school 12 Pekanbaru and senior high school 15 Pekanbaru in physics lessons on sound wave and light waves material very low category.
