Modal Sosial Di Kalangan Tukang Parkir Di Kota Bagansiapiapi

This study answers two main issues, namely: (1) How is the form of social capital built among fellow officers of paranir in Bagansiapiapi City, (2) How is the problem of parking service development that happened in Bagansiapiapi? This study uses social capital theory from Putnam and Fukuyama with qualitative methods. The results of the study found that (1) Social capital among parking attendants is still closely intertwined, especially in terms of networks and trust. Both of these contexts as a glue factor among them in living the life of the carpenter in the uncertainty of income. The presence of comrades and emotional ties to help each other when difficult times make this community solid. Solidity among them is tied up in a social institution within the parking community community bound by norms of mutual respect (tolerant) with sanctions on the basis of value and propriety. (2) The general obstacle of parking development is due to the difficulty of inter-sectoral coordination in handling and improving institutional parking. In addition, funds are also an obstacle for the implementation of such activities.
