Matrilineal Dalam Novel Memang Jodoh Karya Marah Rusli: Suatu Kajian Analisis Wacana Kritis

This study aims to describe the practice of discourse and social practices about matrilineal in the novel Memang Jodoh by Marah Rusli. This is based on the assumption that each discourse is inseparable from the process of producing discourse and discourse is seen as a social practice. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data in this research are in the form of phenomena or expressions that contain matrilineal. The data source in this study is Memang Jodoh's novel by Marah Rusli published by Qanita Publisher Qanita PT Mizan Pustaka Second Edition in May 2015 and consists of 544 pages. After all the data has been collected, it is analyzed using Critical Discourse analysis of the Fairclough model which only analyzes about discourse practices and social practices. The results showed that there were supporting factors that influenced matrilineal participation in the process of producing novel discourse. Memang Jodoh's novel features a very thick and bound Matrilineal kinship system, as well as the Minangkabau people's view of matrilineal as a Minang custom.
