Model Pengelolaan Usahatani Padi Sawah Berkelanjutan
This research was conducted from January to July 2018, in 4 districts of rice production centers in Siak Regency. The purpose of this study is to (1) identify the condition of lowland rice farming based on 5 dimensions of sustainability (ecology, economics, technology, socio-culture and institutions), (2) analyze the index and status of sustainability, (3) analyze important factors determining sustainability and (4) formulating a sustainable management model for wetland rice farming. The number of research respondents 203 people. Determination of respondents with a margin of error of 7% of the total population of farm households. Data analysis using Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) and prospective analysis with the modification of the Rapfish (RAP-Padi) program. The results showed that the condition of paddy field agroecosystem is suitable for paddy farming. The index and the current status of sustainable management of lowland rice farming is quite sustainable (53.32%). The index value of the legal and institutional dimension (47.97%) is less sustainable, but the other 4 dimensions provide an index value that is quite sustainable (> 50%). The management model of wetland rice farming is influenced by the interaction of the use of chemical pesticides, land conversion rates, availability of farmer capital, training, agrotourism potential, area of land ownership, farming traditions and the existence of Bulog. Management strategies that can be carried out to increase the sustainability value of lowland rice farming are prevention of continued conversion to conservation of lowland land, increasing farmers 'knowledge and skills to create superior human resources and strengthening agribusiness-based farming institutions to improve farmers' welfare.
