Potensi Komoditi Unggulan Sebagai Sumber Pendapatan Masyarakat Di Kecamatan Tempuling Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
This research aims to determine the superior commodity potential as a source of community income in Tempuling district Indragiri Hilir regency. To achieve these objectives information and analysis are needed, among others: 1) superior commodity potential as a source of family income; 2) family income of plantation farmers; and 3) the magnitude of the economic multiplier effect in rural areas. The subject of this research is coconut farmers, betel nut and brown sugar in the Tempuling district of Indragiri Hilir, which has its own farmland, does not work on the land of others/work to others as many as 60 respondents. Samples were taken using the purposive sampling method and sampling technique was carried out on a snowball sampling. The data used in this research is primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques that use questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique used is the multiplier effect analysis. The results showed that the business activities of coconut plantation, betel nut and red sugar that became the leading raw material in Tempuling district created a multiplier effect number of 1.56 on the income of people in both farmers and non-farmers such as impact on the workforce, collector traders, production infrastructure providers, as well as services and transport and influence other economic activities in Tempuling district Indragiri Hilir regency.
