Uji Antagonis Beberapa Isolat Bakteri Endofit Kelapa Sawit Terhadap Ganoderma Sp. Penyebab Penyakit Busuk Akar Pada Tanaman Akasia (Acacia Crassicarpa) Dan Karakterisasinya Secara Fisiologi Biokimia Serta Molekular
Acacia crassicarpa is one of the industrial tree plantations that planted in Riau
Province. Ganoderma sp. causes root rot disease is the main disease on acacia
plantations. One of the control strategies for this problem is using biological
control agent such as endophytic bacteria. The research aims to determine the
antagonistic activity and get the best isolate of endophytic bacteria as biological
control agent against Ganoderma sp. causes root rot disease on A. crassicarpa and
characterize the endophytic bacteria on its physiology and molecular traits using
gen 16S rRNA. The research consists of four steps antagonistic activity,
antifungal test, characterization of physiology, biochemistry and molecular traits.
Isolate E7 has 50% of antagonistic activity and inhibition rate on antifungal
compounds and tends to be high. Isolate E1, E3, E4, E7, E11 and E12 give positive
reactions on catalase, oxidase, OF, starch hydrolysis, levan production and VP
and to belong to genus Serratia or Bacillus. Isolate E7 that had been characterized
using gen 16S rRNA and matched with GenBank NCBI shows that it has
similarity with Serratia mercescens strain B8.
