Analisis Perekat Styrofoam Berdasarkan Perbandingan Jumlah Pelarut Pertalite Pada Sirekat Meranti Merah (Shorea Leprosula. Miq) Dan Akasia ( Acacia Mangium )
The rapid growth of industry in Indonesia has several consequences,
including the increase in the amount of waste due of public consumption. One of
the waste is styrofoam. Styrofoam makes a major contribution to waste, The
Styrofoam can make a glue, can be needed on wood processing industries. The
testing of this styrofoam glue was compared with Phenol Formaldehyde (PF) and
Urea Formaldehyde (UF) which used SNI 06-456-1998 and also SNI 06-0069-
1998. The determination of this styrofoam foam glue test is the shape, appearance,
dirt, acidity (pH), viscosity and geltime. For shape, appearance and impurities,
standardization has been set and styrofoam adhesives do not meet the standards.
The results of the pH tests carried out indicate that the pH of the styrofoam
adhesive shown in the pH is 1.35, the value obtained on the results of the
determination viscosity on styrofoam adhesives results are achieved, namely 106-
100 CP, which do not meet the standards, the geltime of the adhesive is 48
minutes vulnerable, and none of these meet the. The strength or firmness of sticky
