Pengaruh Kombinasi Tembaga (Cu) Dan Seng (Zn) Untuk Menyisihkan Kandungan Cod Dan Nitrogen Total Pada Palm Oil Mill Effluent (Pome) Menggunakan Chlorella Sp. Dalam Flat-Photobioreactor
POME processing in Indonesia is generally still carried out conventionally using an open pond system. To reduce the burden of processing ponds and reduce the retention time for POME processing, further processing alternatives can be done using microalgae that can utilize the organic material contained in POME as a source of nutrients for microalgae growth. The success in using microalgae to treat wastewater depends on many factors including the availability of adequate nutrients for microalgae. One element of micronutrients that play a role in the growth and metabolism of microalgae is copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn). In this study a nutritional modification was done by adding Cu (0.1; 0.5; 1 mg / L) and Zn (0.5; 1 mg / L) combined in a flat-photobioreactor with a contact time of 7 days as a source of micronutrients. to increase the growth of Chlorella sp. microalgae, so that the removal of COD and Total Nitrogen content in POME is more efficient. Based on the results of research removal of pollutant parameters higher in the flat-photobioreactor with the addition of micronutrients compared to without the addition of micronutrients (control). The highest efficiency of COD and Nitrogen removal was highest in the flat-photobioreactor with a concentration of 1.0 Cu + 1.0 Zn (mg / L) on the seventh day respectively at 82,1% and 89.5%.
