Histologis Insang Dan Ginjal Ikan Bawal Bintang (Trachinotus Blochii) Yang Dipelihara Pada Salinitas Berbeda
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of different salinity on the histology of
gills and kidneys of Silver Pompano (Trachinotus blochii). The research was
carried out in June-August 2019 at BPBL Batam. The fish were kept in a bucket
with volume of 80 L water and stocking density of 1 ind/4 L using experimental
method of completely randomized design (RAL), one factor with five treatments
and three replications. The treatments were different salinity: P1 (5ppt), P2
(10ppt), P3 (15ppt), P4 (20ppt), and P5 (25ppt). The results showed that
maintenance of fish in different salinity affected the structure of gill tissue and
kidney of silver pompano, tissue damage that occurred in gills was hyperplasia,
lamella deformation, epithelium lifting and kidney tissue were hemorrhage,
inflammation and necrosis. The absolute weight, LPS and SR parameters obtained
the best results, namely the 15ppt (P3) salinity treatment where the absolute
weight was 17.73, the specific growth rate was 0.87% and the survival rate was
88.33%.
