Posisi Partai Politik Pada Pemilihan Kepala Daerah Di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Tahun 2015
SUMMARY
RICHO RAHGIA SYAHPUTRA, NIM 1410246041, Position Of Political
Party In Election Local Government Leader On Kuantan Singingi District
Year 2015, Supervised and proctoring by Hasanuddin and Ali Yusri.
Election contestation has given birth to various dynamics in political
development in Indonesia, especially in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The 2015
Kuansing Regional Election positioned political parties in a different nuance
compared to the previous Pilkada. The involvement of party structures at the
local level in the process of determining regional head candidates and the
process of winning regional head candidates have not shown a strong
position, the vote acquisition of parties supporting regional head candidates is
in fact not directly proportional to the vote acquisition of regional head
candidates that are carried.
The theory of political parties and the consolidation of democracy with
the derivation of their studies are used to see the position of political parties in
the 2015 regional elections in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The study of the
position of political parties in the Indonesian Election system and the
relationship between parties and regional elections are the main basis of this
research analysis. This study was carried out using a qualitative approach
and the data needed in this study were obtained from direct interviews with
informants and also data that has been documented previously
The results of this study indicate that the position of political parties in
the nomination of the Regional Head in Kuantan Singingi Regency in the
2015 elections is in a strong position, only the position of political parties at
the local level does not have enough authority to determine their own
candidates. The lobbying and negotiation process at the DPP (Central Off
Office) level is more prominent than the formal political recruitment process
carried out by parties at the local level. The DPP's dominance in the
determination of prospective candidates has undermined the authority of
political parties at the local level so that political parties at the local level are
no more than executors of DPP decisions.
The position of political parties in the process of winning Regional
Head candidates is reflected in the activities of political parties forming party
coalitions, carrying out campaigns and building the structure of the winning
teams at the branch (sub-district) and branch level (village). In this position,
political parties take the opportunity to build the solidity of their respective
parties by attempting to place TPS witnesses from their cadres at the subvillage
level.
