Penentuan Sudut Kemiringan Dan Arah Optimum Panel Solar Photovoltaic Untuk Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya Di Kota Pekanbaru

ABSTRACT
Environmental and economic problems are the reason behind the rapid push for renewable energy utilization throughout the world. One of the renewable energy sources that are being developed is Solar Photovoltaic (SPV). The use of SPV as a power plant must consider the maximum potential energy production that can be generated. One way to maximize the generation of energy is by placing the SPV panel at the optimum angle and direction. This thesis aims to determine the optimal tilt angle and optimal direction of the solar panel with the city of Pekanbaru as a place for research. The study was conducted 8 times on 4 SPV 20 WP Monocrystaline panels. The panels are installed at different tilt angles, 10 °, 15 °, 20 ° and 25 ° respectively. The direction of the panel also varies, with each panel facing north, south, east and west. The use of Arduino microcontrollers is also used as a controller of energy monitoring systems in real time. Data voltage, current and power in real time will be stored by the data logger into the SD card with the format Comma Separated Value (CSV), measurement data will also be displayed on the LCD screen so users can easily monitor the work of the measuring system. From the results of testing the north and west and the tilt angle of 10 ° and 15 ° become the direction and tilt angle that gets the most optimal energy.
