Penentuan Dosis Radiasi Efektif Pasien Dari Citra Medis Ct Scan Bagian Abdomen Pada Organ Ginjal
CT Scan provides the biggest contribution in receiving radiation dose for patients in radiodiagnostics. During this time the radiation dose parameters that have been used are volume Computed Tomography Dose Index (CTDIvol) and Dose Length Product (DLP). However both of these parameters have a weakness which is both parameters only describe the tool’s output dose, without considering the patient size. Size Specific Dose Estimate (SSDE) is a dose correction based on patient’s geometry. Absorbed dose is number of nuclear energy absorbed to a medium and effective dose is the dose value that arises due to differences in the biological sensitivity. This study aims to determine value of SSDE, kidney’s absorbed dose, kidney’s effective dose and total effective dose from the abdomen CT scan examination. The study was conducted by collecting data from 20 patients in RS. PRIMA Pekanbaru who underwent an abdomen CT scan examination using CT Scan Toshiba type of Asteion Multi (CXB 400 tube). Result showed that the average value of SSDE for male patients is 19,64 mGy and female patients is 17,40 mGy, the average value of kidney’s absorbed dose for male patients is 24,67 mGy and female patients is 20,36 mGy, the average value of kidney’s effective dose for male patients is 2,96 mSv and female patients is 2,44 mSv and the average value of total effective dose for male patients is 12,63 mSv and female patients is 9,16 mSv. The dose recieved by the patients is still within the threshold regulated by BAPATEN.
