Traditional house is a term from traditional architecture that often appears when it is associated with concepts and designs that are in contact with aspects of culture, local genius, with a span of time (lifetime). In a number of indigenous groups in Kuantan Singingi, Rumah Godang still maintains its authenticity, such as the Kenegerian Indigenous Sentajo and the Traditional Indigenous Gunung Toar to this day can still be used for community dwellings and traditional gatherings. All this is inseparable from the active role of the traditional leader in the country, who always maintains and implements the values of customary norms in the community so that the Godang House in the country remains sustainable. Whereas in some other customary states, some have been destroyed due to age and are not maintained and the lack of attention from traditional leaders and local communities in maintaining the Godang House. Therefore it is necessary to examine things or factors as well as the role of traditional leaders that cause the still preserving of Rumah Godang in Kuantan Singingi until now.
