ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine: 1) the effect of gender on the interest of accounting students to have a career as a public accountant, 2) the effect of financial rewards on the interest of accounting students to have a career as a public accountant, 3) the influence of the work environment on the interest of accounting students to pursue a career as a public accountant, 4) the effect of labor market considerations on accounting students' interest in a career as a public accountant. The population used in this study were all students majoring in accounting at Pekanbaru State University. The sample is determined using purposive sampling. The type of data used in this study is primary data using a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed by multiple regression analysis using the SPSS program.
