Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengenal Konsep Bilangan Melalui Media Kalender Pada Anak Usia 4-5 Tahun Di Paud Agata Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
The background of this study is Most children still make mistakes in the order of the numbers 1-10. When the child is asked by the teacher to mention the sequence of 1-10 numbers together, almost all children can do it. However, when one by one children are asked to mention it there are still many children who are still confused. Children still upside down in writing some numbers such as inverted writing numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9. It is seen as children writing numbers 1-10 in their books after counting many objects are drawn afterwards in accordance with an example on the board Write.
Based on the background, the researcher did the improvement and optimize the ability to recognize the symbol of the number in the child according to the level of development of his age. The purpose of the implementation of this study was to determine the calendar media can improve the ability to know the symbol number, to determine the application of the calendar media in enhancing the ability to know the symbol number in children aged 4-5 years and to know how big an increase in ability to know the symbol number in children aged 4 -5 years through the media calendar in PAUD Agata Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. In 1 cycle there are 3 meetings. The data collection tool used in this research is in the form of observation sheet. The number of samples in this study were 10 children consisting of 5 boys and 5 girls.
The ability of children to know the epitome of numbers through the media calendar in PAUD Agata Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir.can be increased from prasiklus to the first cycle and the second cycle in the category of MB to BSH and BSB.The application of calendar media numbers is done by the teacher well at every meeting in cycle I and cycle II based on the result of reflection. Through activities using the media calendar can improve the ability to recognize the symbol of the number of children in the PAUD Agata Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir.
Large increase in ability to know the symbol number in children aged 4-5 years in early childhood BangkoAgataRokanHilirSubdistrict obtained average value is the cycle before obtaining the value of 42.50% and increased in the first cycle with an average value of 60.56 % And in cycle II there is an increase that is average value in cycle II reach 82,78%. Percentage increase in ability to know the symbol number in children aged 4-5 years through the media calendar in PAUD Agata Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir.of 94.77%..
