The ability to recognize the number symbol is one of the goals of National Education. The increase in the ability to recognize the symbol of numbers can be seen from every human child. Education of the ability to recognize the symbol of numbers has become a necessity for school children. Increased ability to recognize the symbol of numbers in early childhood with interesting and fun learning and given repeatedly through the media dice. The purpose of this research there are two that is to know the increase of the ability to recognize the symbol of numbers through the media dice in children aged 5-6 years in TK Pelita Bangsa Subdistrict Bangko Pusako and describe the increase in the ability to recognize the symbol of numbers through the media dice in children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Pelita Bangsa Kecamatan Bangko Pusako. This study uses classroom action research (PTK) research tool used is a child observation sheet, teacher activity observation sheet and obsevation sheet increase the ability to recognize the symbol of numbers. Subjects in this study amounted to 15 children with the number of men 8 children and 7 women children. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The result of analysis shows that in cycle one, the result of observation of teacher activity is 62,22%. The result of observation of activity of children equal to 71,11% and result of increase of ability to know symbol of number equal to 49,81% so that result obtained not as expected because target determined that is equal to 70%. Therefore, it is followed by research on the second cycle. Result of second cycle analysis obtained by observation of activity of teacher equal to 88,89%, observation of activity of children equal to 86,11% and observation improvement of ability to recognize symbol of number equal to 72,04%. From the results of this study can be concluded that the increase in the ability to recognize the symbol of numbers can be increased through the game media dice.
