Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Melalui Media Kartu Bergambar Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Tk Satu Atap SDN 007 Pekantua Kecamatan Kempas Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
This research is based on the problem of early reading skill in children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten One Elementary School SDN 007 Desa Pekan Tua Kempas Sub-district Indragiri Hilir Regency. Ability through picture card media in children aged 5-6 years is a classroom action research with subject of 14 children consisting of 8 men and 6 women.This research is a classroom action research conducted with a cycle model. There are several stages or steps in each cycle, namely: preparation, execution, observation and reflection. Technique of implementation of learning through picture card media done well and regularly. Thus, the goal can be maximally fulfilled through a picture card game. Based on the improvement of the ability to recognize the concept of picture card game based on the analysis of the research data with the value. Based on the observation result, the average reading ability of the beginning of the children aged 5-6 years in prasiklus is 29.45% with new category developing. In the first cycle through the picture card game activities increase and earn an average of 47.61% with the ability to read the beginning including the category began to grow. In the second cycle, children's early reading ability improved with significance and obtained an average of 77.1% with the category of children developing very well.
