Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengenal Huruf Melalui Permainan Kartu Huruf Bergambar Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Tk Istiqomah Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
Based on the results of preliminary observation in Istiqomah Bagansiapiapi Kindergarten Rokan Hilir, the authors tested the ability of children in recognizing letters, while the material tested on children include mentioning the symbols of letters that they know, from 15 children attended the results obtained as many as 5 people (33, 33%) children can mention and recognize the letter A up to the letter Z but still assisted by the teacher, and as many as 7 people (46.67%) more children are only able to mention and recognize the letter A up to the letter O also assisted by teachers, 3 people (20%) children are only able to mention and recognize the letter A to letter H with stammer. From the phenomenon, the authors conduct Classroom Action Research to improve the ability to recognize the letters through the card letters pictorial. The subjects of this study were children aged 5-6 years, amounting to 15 children, consisting of 5 boys and 10 girls. The research was conducted in 2 (two) Cycles, the first cycle was conducted for 3 (three) meetings, and the second cycle was also conducted for 3 (three) meetings. The result of this research is that there is an increase of the ability to recognize letters through illustrated card game, it can be seen from Prasiklus 42.67% data increase in Cycle I to 57.44%, and in Cycle II there is increasing again to 83.33%, meaning that the game of letter card is very effective To improve the ability to recognize letters in children aged 5-6 years in Istiqomah Kindergarten Bangko District Rokan Hilir Regency.
