the objective of the research is to find out the recognition of geometric shapes by playing geometric board of children in Adzikra Kindergarten in Sungai Buluh village Singingi Hilir district Kuantan Singingi. The subject of this research are 10 children who reffered by Anas Sudjon’s formula. The type of the research is CAR (Classroom Activity Research) which consist of two cycles where each cycle conducted of 3 meetings. The method of this research is observation that observe the children who playing geometric board through deliberately process to accept responsibility the result of the research in scientific and systematic. There are some steps in Classroom Activity Research: planning, action observation, and reflection. This research is belongs to quantitative and qualitative research. Based on the result of observation before playing geometric board it seen that the mean score is 41,66%. In the action step in clycle I from analyzing the reflection during cycle I went on is obtained score 63,86% . by analyzing the data it indicate that improvement in cycle II about cycle I 98%. The step to improving the recognition ability of geometric shapes are imitate the geometric shapes, name some objects based on the shapes.
