Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengenal Geometri Melalui Permainan Balok Pada Anak Usia 4 – 5 Tahun Di Ra Ummi Aisyiyah Bantayan Kecamatan Batu Hampar Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
The background of this study is the child's fine motor skills are
still said to be less developed with the maximum. Seen in the activity there is
caused by 1) the child can not distinguish the beam by size, 2) the child has not
been able to clarify the blocks based on the color, 3) the child still does not
understand clashing beams by shape and size, 4) and the child has not been able
to group all types of beams with Color that has been specified. Therefore,
researchers try to improve the ability to recognize the geometry of children
through the game beams. The purpose of the implementation of this study were (1)
to determine the increase in the ability to know geometry in children aged 4-5
years through the game beam (2) to find out how the application of the beam the
game to improve the ability to know geometry in children aged 4-5 years, and ( 3)
to determine the geometry of the increase in the ability to know through the game
beam in children aged 4-5 years in RA Ummi Aisyiyah Bantayan District of
Rokan Hilir Batu Hampar. This type of research is a classroom action research
conducted in 2 cycles. In 1 cycle there are 3 meetings. The data collection tool
used in this research is in the form of observation sheet. The number of samples in
this study were 15 children consisting of 9 boys and 6 girls..
Great percentage increase in ability to know geometry in children aged 4-
5 years in RA Ummi Aisyiyah Bantayan Batu Hampar District Rokan Hilir
Regency obtained the average value that is before the cycle obtained a value of
27.7% and increased in cycle I with an average value of 37.2% and in cycle II
there is an increase that is average value in cycle II reach 75.3%. Percentage
improvement of geometry ability in children aged 4-5 years through game block
in RA Ummi Aisyiyah Bantayan Batu Hampar District Rokan Hilir Regency
88.5%. Application of game beams done by the teacher well so as to improve the
ability of children to know geometry in children aged 4-5 years in RA Ummi
Aisyiyah Bantayan Batu Hampar District Rokan Hilir Regency.
