Pengaruh Ph Terhadap Pembentukan Etanol Pada Tahap Asidogenesis Pengolahan Pome (Palm Oil Mill Effluent) Menggunakan Inokulum Rumen Sapi
ABSTRACT
Palm mill oil effluent potential as a source of ethanol formation substrate
with a total COD content of 32,000 mg / L. The pH value is very mempemgaruhi
asidogenesis stage in the anaerobic process.Specific pH range would affect the
dominant bacteria that work in the fermentation process to produce ethanol and
cause changes in the activity of microorganisms and exert significant influence on
the action of the enzyme because it has a pH of specific work. This study aimed to
study the effect of pH on the formation of ethanol, total and soluble COD, VSS,
and the establishment of TAV growth of the anaerobic process. This study uses
the three variations namely natural pH POME pH, pH 5-6 and pH 6-7 and the
time stayed for 5 days in circulating bed reactor. These results indicate the total
COD removal rate is highest in R3 (pH 6-7) was 3,200 mg / L / day with 40%
removal efficiency. COD removal of dissolved highest in R3 (pH 6-7) was
3466.67 mg / L / day with a removal efficiency of 61.90%. VSS growth highest in
R1 (pH Natural POME) with a growth rate of 272.67 mg / L / day. TAV
formation highest in R3 (pH 6-7) was 1395.35 mg / L / day with 60% efficiency
formation. Formation of the highest ethanol contained in R3 (pH 6-7) on the 3rd
day of 5% (v / v).
