Penyisihan Logam Cr (VI) Dari Limbah Cair Elektroplating Menggunakan Biosorben Jamur Coprinus Comatus Yang Tumbuh Pada Media Tandan Kosong Sawit (TKS)
ABSTRACT
Metal Cr (VI) is a metal found in high concentrations of liquid waste
electroplating, so it is toxic can cause acute and chronic poisoning. Using fungi
biomass become an alternative to solving environment pollution problems caused
by heavy metals. The research purposed to learn the ability of C. comatus fungi
biosorbent to set aside the metal Cr (VI) through the process of biosorbent
characterization with variations of activator NaOH 0,3; 0,5 and 0,7 N, activation
time 15, 30 and 45 minutes, variation in parameter pH influence 1, 3, 5, 7 and
contact time 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes are done to know the pH and contact time
optimum in biosorption process. Heavy metal reduction mechanisms in
biosorption. Result of the research showed characterization phase of biosorbent
obtained the best conditions in treatment without activation of 11.42 mg/gr and
biosorption process obtained optimum condition at pH 3 and contact time 30
minutes with absorption capacity of 14,92 mg/gr biosorbent. Based on the FTIR
characterization result of C. comatus fungi biosorbent before and after contact
with electroplating liquid waste, it can be seen that there are shifts in wave
number. The shift of the wave number caused by the functional groups that role in
biosorption process by C. comatus fungi biosorbent .
