Isolasi Bakteri Endofit Dari Tanaman Karet (Hevea Brasiliensis) Dan Uji Antagonis Terhadap Jamur Akar Putih (Rigidoporus Microporus (Swartz:Fr) Van Ov)
Rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) is one of the plantation has an important role in the
economy and one of Indonesia’s leading export commodities. Rubber production
often decreases due to diseases, one of them is white root disease caused by
Rigidoporus microporus. Common control is using chemical fungicides that can
have an effect on environment and human health in the long term. Alternative
control of white root fungi by developing biological agents as biocontrol agents
using endophytic bacteria. The objectives of this study were to isolate
endophytic bacteria from rubber plants and to determine endophytic bacteria’s
ability against pathogen fungi Rigidoporus microporus. The result of isolation
using direct isolation technique and scouring technique with feeder roots, barks
and leaves of rubber plant obtained 55 isolates. Screening test of endophytic
bacteria against Rigidoporus microporus was obtained by 11 isolates. The results
of antagonistic test showed that 4 endophytic bacteria isolates (L2M1.A28,
L1M2.B14, L2M1.D36 and L2M1.A27) capable of inhibiting Rigidoporus
microporus with the percentage of inhibitory respectively 35%, 20,88%, 18,88%
and 16,84%. These endophytic bacteria in the future can be developed as a
bicontrol that can be applied to people’s rubber plant in Riau.
