Pen-Doping-An Logam Transisi Nikel Pada Nanomaterial Zno Sebagai Material Aktif Sel Suryatersensitasi Dye

Ni doped ZnO nanostructures have been successfully grown using seed mediated hydrothermal method, trough 2 steps, namely seeding and growth process. The growth of ZnO nanostructures has been done by varying concentration of the Ni doped solution, namely 8 mM dan 10 mM with the growth temperature of 90°C in 7 hours. The grown ZnO nanostructures were characterized by using Ultraviolet-Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The UV-Vis spectra of the samples showed that the strong absorption occured in the wavelength range of 300-380 nm for all samples. The band gap energy of sample with concentrations of Ni 8 mM and 10 mM was 3,20 eV and 3,19 eV, respectivelt, whereas the band gap energy of the pure ZnO nanostructures was 3,30 eV. The FESEM images showed that geometrical shape of Ni doped ZnO nanostructures are nanorod with a hexagonal and nanoflower faced shapes. EDX spectra showed Ni was detected in all samples. XRD patterns observed show five diffraction peaks at 2θ: 32,09°; 34,76°; 36,65°; 47,95° and 56,97° for Ni doped ZnO nanostructures with crystal orientation of (100), (002), (101), (102) and (110) respectively. The strongest line was found in the crystal plane of (101). The size of crystals of samples with concentrations of 8 mM and 10 mM was 31,15 nm and 30,25 nm, respectively, whereas crystal size of the pure ZnO nanostructures is 30,18 nm. DSSC was fabricated using Ni doped ZnO nanostructures as an active material, dye N719, liquid electrolyte and platinum as a catalyst on the counter electrodes, arranged like sandwich structure compositions. The results of I-V measurements under halogen lamp ilumination of its intensity of 100 mW/cm2 has produced maximum efficiency of 0.227% for the Ni doped ZnO nanostructure that was coated Au at concentration of 8 mM based DSSC.
