Keanekaragaman Pisang (Musa-Musaceae) Di Pekanbaru (Provinsi Riau) Berdasarkan Karakter Morfologi

Pekanbaru is one of the banana’s distribution region in Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to inventory and know the diversity of bananas in Pekanbaru based on morphological character. This study was conducted in November-Februari 2020. Samples were collected from the field using exploration method. Morphological characters were described, scored and were then analyzed using NTSys pc2.02 to construct dendrogram. The result showed 21 cultivar of banana consisted of 8 cultivars of Musa acuminata and 13 cultivars of Musa paradisiaca. There are variations in the morphological characteristics of habits, pseudostem height, colour of pseudostem, shape of leaf blade base, petiole canal leaf, male bud shape, bunch position, ovary shape, and transverse section of fruit. The similarity coefficient value ranged from 0,60 to 0,87. Dendrogram separate the two main groups, that clustered together based on the similarity of morphological characters.
