Hubungan Self-Esteem Dengan Perilaku Prososial Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Tk Pertiwi Kota Pekanbaru

This study aims to determine and test the relationship of self-esteem with prosocial
behavior of children aged 5-6 years at TK Pertiwi Pekanbaru City. The population of
this research is children aged 5-6 years at TK Pertiwi Pekanbaru City. The sample
used was 60 children. In this research, the hypothesis is that there is a relationship
between self-esteem and prosocial behavior of children aged 5-6 years in TK Pertiwi
Pekanbaru City. The method used in this study is correlation. Data collection
techniques with observation. Data analysis techniques used Pearson Product Moment
correlation test with the IBM SPSS for Windows Ver 21 program. The results of the
study revealed that children's self-esteem was in the low category (54.93%) and the
level of prosocial behavior was in the low category (53, 16%). Based on the results of
the hypothesis test obtained there is a positive and significant relationship between
self-esteem and prosocial behavior of children aged 5-6 years in TK Pertiwi
Pekanbaru City with a correlation coefficient of rxy = 0.628 and the resulting
coefficient of determination equal to 39 , 4%, means that self-esteem gives 39%
influence on prosocial behavior.
