The application of environmental education or commonly known as the Adiwiyata Program, is one of the programs of the State Ministry of Environment in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education. The Adiwiyata Program is mandated by Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning environmental protection and management. The Adiwiyata program is expected to create school members, especially students who care about and are cultured in the environment, while supporting and realizing human resources that have the character of the nation towards economic, social and environmental development in achieving sustainable development in the regions. But the behavior of caring for students' environment is still very minimal, as seen from the active participation of students in doing "acting" in maintaining the preservation of a comfortable school environment.
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of environmental knowledge with attitudes and skills in managing a clean school environment for state junior high school students in Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency. This research is a quantitative research with a survey method approach. while the time of conducting research in January 2019 with a total sample of 183 students of SMP Negeri 1 Bangkinang Kota and 145 students of SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota. Data collection methods used were tests, observations, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis uses a simple correlation test with the Person Correlation method.
The results showed a positive relationship with a high level of closeness between environmental knowledge and the attitude of managing a clean school environment of SMP Negeri 1 Bangkinang Kota students with a significant value of 0,000
