Implementasi Kebijakan Adiwiyata Dalam Upaya Mewujudkan Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup Pada Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri (SMAN) 5 Pekanbaru
The application of environmental education which is commonly known as
Adiwiyata is one of the programs of the State Ministry of Environment in
collaboration with the Ministry of National Education. The Adiwiyata Program is
mandated by Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and
Management. Environmental preservation activities through the Adiwiyata
Program in schools involve many students in the school environment so that they
can be used as a source of learning for students. The implementation of the
Adiwiyata Program did not escape an obstacle that could be from within or from
outside, where the concept of an idea with a reality on the ground did not go as
well as planned
The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the Adiwiyata
Program at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru, the factors that influence the implementation of
the Adiwiyata program and to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors for
implementing education. This research is a survey research with research
approach using qualitative methods. The study was conducted in January-
February 2019.
Implementation of the Adiwiyata Program refers to the four components
contained in the Minister of Environment Regulation No. 05 of 2013 concerning
Guidelines for Implementation of the Adiwiyata program, namely, having an
environmental perspective, an environment-based curriculum, participatory
environment-based activities and management of environmentally friendly
supporting facilities
The implementation of environmentally friendly policies at SMAN 5
Pekanbaru is carried out by forming an Adiwiyata team such as patrol police,
formulation of vision, mission, and school goals that contain environmental
management, design environmental activity programs and build environmental
partners that can support programs in management and protection living
environment.
The implementation of an environment-based curriculum at SMAN 5
Pekanbaru in an effort to protect and manage the environment is to be integrated
with subjects, almost all subjects at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru have been integrated with
environmental insights. Implementation of participatory-based environmental
activities is carried out with the implementation of clean fridays, maintenance of
school parks, maintenance of green houses, jams, maximum utilization of land
and school facilities, developing extracurricular activities, conducting visits and
environmental actions as well as the existence of an innovation from SMAN 5
Pekanbaru residents. surrounding environment.
The implementation of an environmentally friendly infrastructure
management is carried out through various program activitiess in schools such as
the management of waste bins, management of school parks, green houses, and

school forests that add to the environment of the school environment, maintenance
of classrooms, small mosques and toilets, water, electricity and ATK management
efficiency and improve the quality of health canteen services and environmental
ramifications, Factors that hampered the implementation of the Adiwiyata
Program at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru were financial resources from the school itself
and inadequate equipment resources and lack of communication between teachers
and students as well as teachers and teachers themselves. Jam is an inhibiting
factor for the unconsciousness of school residents who provide examples in
maintaining a clean environment.
