Analisis Multi Kriteria Teknologi Penangkapan Ikan Yang Bertanggung Jawab Oleh Nelayan Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

Abstract
Rating fishing technology status is one of the first steps in designing a fisheries
management strategy in one way or place. Fisheries activities in Kepulauan
Meranti operated in the Sea presented by Rawai fishing gear, Gillnet, Gombang
and Sondong. Assessment of the level of responsibility a fishing gear is done by
applying multi-criteria analysis which uses nine criteria fishing unit that bears
responsibility. This study aims to determine the status of fishing technology
applied Meranti Islands District fishermen and fisheries define improvement
strategies in the district. Based on the three indicators of good value, worth pretty
good four, and two-worth is not good, Researchers concluded that the capture
technology is applied in fisheries in Kepulauan Meranti presented 4 different
types of fishing gear unit shows ststus good enough in terms of environmental
responsibility. Best active fishing unit is sondong, while the fishing unit is best
passive gillnet. How to handle discards and catch a decent fish criteria should be
introduced among fishermen to support the survival of the fish so that fisheries are
sustainable and the implementation of selective fishing gear should be promoted
with the aim of increasing the proportion of eligible fish caught.
