Keanekaragaman hayati tanah pada sistem agroforestri tanaman kelapa sawit (elaeis guineensis jacq.) Dengan tanaman gaharu (aquilaria malaccensis lamrk.) Dan sistem monokultur kelapa sawit
Generally, oil palm is cultivated by using monoculture system in Riau. As
an effort to reduce the impact of monoculture system, agroforestry system could
be applied by combining crops with woody plant. This study aimed to analyze soil
biodiversity in agroforestry system of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) with
gaharu plant (Aquilaria malaccensis Lamrk.) and monoculture system of oil palm.
The research was carried out on oil palm plantation in Bukit Kemuning village,
Tapung Hulu district, Kampar region, Riau Province. It was conducted using
survey method and purposive sampling as its sample collection method. Sample
point was collected at oil palm dish (S), accessible inter-row (GH) and
inaccessible inter-row (GM). Indicators of calculating soil fauna are population
and relative density, number of families, Shannon-Wiener diversity and equality
index. Microorganisms calculation is defined by total population of fungi and
bacteria. Moreover, t-test at 5% error margin was used to determine the diversity
of macrofauna, mesofauna, fungal and soil bacterial populations.
This research shows that agroforestry system has higher soil biodiversity
than monoculture system. On agroforestry system, the highest soil macrofauna
was found at inaccessible inter-row by 728 Indv/m2 as total population density,
relative density, 11,83 as families average number, 2,42 as diversity index and
0,63 as its equality index. Additionally, the highest soil mesofauna was found at
inaccessible inter-row by 890,67 Indv/m2 as total population density, relative
density, 16,00 as families average number, 2,46 as diversity index and 0,62 as its
equality index. Moreover, the highest fungi population was found at inaccessible
inter-row (8,87 x 104 CFU/g soil), while the highest bacterial population was
found at oil palm dish (1,23 x 109 CFU/g soil). Therefore, agroforestry system of
oil palm and gaharu plant is suggested in order to produce high soil biodiversity
at oil palm plantation.
