Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Matematika Menggunakan Model Discovery Learning Dengan Konteks Budaya Riau Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemahaman Dan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas VIII SMP/MTS
This research has been motivated by the low Mathematical Understanding Ability (KPM) and Mathematical Problem Solving Ability (KPMM) of students and the absence of learning tools that are consistent with the 2013 curriculum. Based on the results of interviews, observations, documentation, and KPM and KPMM tests that researchers do, the fact is that the learning tools owned by the teacher do not refer to the 2013 curriculum process standards so that the KPM and KPMM for students are not honed properly. Thus, the purpose of this study is to produce mathematical learning tools (Syllabus, RPP, and LKPD) that can improve KPM and KPMM for students that are valid and practical to use.
The form of this research is research and development. The development model used refers to the Borg and Gall development model which has stages, namely research and data collection, planning, development of initial product drafts, initial field trials, product revisions, dissemination and implementation. The instrument used was a validity instrument in the form of a validation sheet and a practicality instrument in the form of a student questionnaire response.
Based on the results of the validity data analysis, the average syllabus validation obtained is 3.7 with very valid criteria; the average RPP validation is 3.54 with very valid criteria; and the LKPD validation average is 3.51 with very valid criteria. Thus, the learning tools developed were declared valid and worth testing. Based on the results of practicality data analysis, the readability of learning tools is 88.57 with very practical criteria. Thus, the learning tools developed are stated to be practical. As a whole it can be concluded that the learning tools developed have met the valid and practical criteria.
Development research conducted has produced products in the form of learning tools (Syllabus, RPP, and LKPD) using discovery learning models with Riau cultural context to improve KPM and KPMM for VIII grade students of SMP / MTs. Learning tools are declared valid through the validation process, and are declared practical through limited trials.
