Tingkat Kesejahteraan Keluarga Nelayan Desa Kuala Patah Parang Kecamatan Sungai Batang Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau

The research was conducted in November 2019 in Kuala Patah Parang Village,
Sungai Batang Sub District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The location
of the study was determined purposively. The method used in this research is a
survey method. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of welfare of
fishermen families in Kuala Patah Parang Village. Respondents taken in this study
were 10% (30 people). The results showed that: the characteristics of fishermen in
Kuala Patah Parang Village, most of the fishermen, were classified as very
productive, the education of the cultivators was classified as lower secondary
education, the income of fishermen was classified as moderate. The source of the
respondent's income from the fishery sector is fishing, while the source of income
of the respondents from the non-fishery sector is fishing for mangroves. The
average income of fishermen families is IDR 4,925,000 / month, the average
expenditure of fishermen families is IDR 4,443,333 / month. The welfare level of
fishermen families in Kuala Patah Parang Village is based on the indicators of the
Central Statistics Agency in 2005 that the fishermen families in Kuala Patah
Parang Village are included in the medium welfare category with a score of 14-
19.
