Since the enactment of Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National
education system, it has apparently placed the Indonesian nation in a position as
a nation that is far behind other countries in the world. The commitment of the
Government of Indonesia to educate the lives of its citizens is as stated in the
preamble of the 1945 Constitution in the fourth paragraph, which emphasizes:
"The government protects the entire Indonesian nation and all the blood of
Indonesia and to promote public welfare, educate the nation's life." It turns out
that there are still many obstacles and obstacles. This is caused by many factors.
In this case this thesis writing aims, namely; first, to know the role of the
education and culture office in the fulfillment of primary school facilities in the
Meranti Islands district, second, the inhibiting factors that affect the role of the
education and cultural offices in fulfilling the primary school facilities in the
Meranti Islands district.
This type of research can be classified as sociological research. This
research was conducted at the Office of Education and Culture, SD Negeri 3
Batang Malas, SD Negeri 3 Sialang Pasung, SD Negeri 6 Bungur, Meranti
Islands Regency. While the population and sample are the parties related to the
problem under study data collection with observation methods, interviews and
library studies, data analysis used is qualitative data analysis and in drawing
conclusions the author uses deductive methods
The results of the research and discussion show that the role of the
Education and Culture Office in fulfilling primary school facilities is based on the
Meranti Islands Regent Regulation No. 32/2016. because there are still many
damaged schools, the agency should improve its performance in carrying out its
duties in accordance with the provisions of the planned program.
