Analisis Sanitasi Lingkungan Dan Perilaku Penjamah Makanan Terhadap Kepadatan Kecoak Di Kantin Pelabuhan Dumai
Dumai Port is one of the densely populated ports that serve domestic and
international shipping so that many ships dock, both passenger ships and cargo
ships. This condition makes Dumai port a gateway for the transformation of
disease vector spread. Cockroaches are a type of insect that is a vector of disease.
Based on data from the Dumai Port Health Information System in 2019, the
canteen in the port of Dumai is in the poor sanitation hygiene category, with the
cockroach density index in the medium and high categories. Poor environmental
sanitation allows cockroaches to live and breed. Interview with visitors to the
Dumai port canteen, said cockroaches were passing by without any control
measures from the canteen owner or food handlers. It is possible that a person's
knowledge and attitudes will influence certain behaviors. The discovery of
cockroach vectors in the Dumai port canteen was caused by the low knowledge
and attitude of food handlers about cockroach vectors.
This study aims to analyze the environmental sanitation and behavior of
food handlers with the density of cockroaches in the Dumai port canteen.
Quantitative research aims to determine the density of cockroaches through
trapping and the results of observations of environmental sanitation and the
behavior of food handlers through interviews, observational research methods
with cross sectional design. The study population was divided into three, the first
population was 24 canteens with a total sampling technique, the second
population consisted of 48 food handlers and the third population was 360 buyers
with 78 samples through purposive sampling technique. Hypothesis testing uses
multiple linear regression on the basis of taking the research hypothesis, p> 0.05,
the research hypothesis is rejected and p
