Perbandingan kualitas tanah pada sistem agroforestri kelapa sawit (elaeis guineensis jacq.) Dan tanaman gaharu (aquilaria malaccensis lamk.) Dengan sistem monokultur kelapa sawit
Oil palm cultivation in Riau Province is generally grown using a monoculture system. Oil palm monoculture systems have an impact on soil compaction which results in decreased infiltration rate and capacity, permeability and aeration. One of the efforts to reduce the impact of a monoculture system is to apply an agroforestry system. Agroforestry systems that can be developed in oil palm plantations has shade tolerant like gaharu. This study aims to analyze the differences in soil quality between oil palm and gaharu agroforestry systems with oil palm monoculture systems. The research was carried out at the community plantation of Kemuning Village, Tapung Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. This research was conducted using a survey method with the determination of the sampling location using purposive sampling method. Sampling was carried out on 2 land systems, namely the oil palm agroforestry system with gaharu and land with the oil palm monoculture system. In each system there are 4 sampling points which are carried out as many as 6 replications. Determination of replication locations using a systematic sampling method with a plot size of 8 x 18 m. The location of the sampling points consisted of live gawangan (GH), dead barley (GM), palm oil plate (S) and agarwood disc (G) and empty space (RK). The number samples per system is 24 and the total sample is 48 samples. The physical properties of the soil analyzed were texture, bulk density, particle density, TPS, moisture content, WHC, permeability, and soil density. The chemical properties to be analysis pH, C-Organic, N-Total, K-Total, CEC, Bases and Base Saturation. The data obtained were analyzed using the t test with significant level 5%. The determination of the value of soil quality is done by calculating the Soil Quality Index (SQI) using the scoring method, namely the Minimum Data Set (MDS).
The results show that SQI value in the agroforestry system is 0.486 (medium category) and the SQI value in the monoculture system is 0.376 (low category). Therefore, soil quality in the agroforestry system is higher than of soil quality in the monoculture system.
