Pengelolaan Kualitas Air Anak Sungai Kampar Sekitar Penambangan Galian C (Sirtu) Di Desa Palung Raya Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar
The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of type C material
(sirtu) mining to water quality, erosion rate around type C material (sirtu) mining
location, pollutant load, water assimilation capacity, social condition, community
economy, and water quality management of Kampar tributary which is located in
Palung Raya village, Tambang sub-district, Kampar district. This research
usesquantitative descriptive approach and survey method. Survey method is
conducted by collecting data from represented population (sample) with 5 water
sample stations, 3 soil sample stations with slope of 0 – 8%, 3 soil sample stations
with slope of 8 – 15% and 94 people from type C material (sirtu) mining location
who has filled the questionnaire. The measured water parameters are insitu
temperature, pH, DHL, DO and exsitu (laboratory) TDS, TSS, Fe, texture, soil
permeability, and plankton on 5 research stations.
The result of this research shows that based on physical parameter,
chemical parameter, and biological parameter, water quality around type C
material (sirtu) mining location in Palung Raya village, Tambang sub-district, are
yet to be polluted; and the value of pollutant load, TDS and TSS are smaller than
the value of assimilation capacity, even though the erosion rate indicates erosion
hazard level of medium to very heavy. The existence of type C material (sirtu)
mining in Palung Raya village,Tambang sub-district, Kampar district has yet to
influence the social and economy sector of the community around the mining
location where agricultural activities and fishermen still go on and become the
main professions of the community. Water quality management of Kampar
tributary in type C material (sirtu) mining location is an authority of the technical
agency from goverment of Kampar district and Riau province, and aresponsibility
for the owner of mining license. Management is formulated based onthe result of
analysis on the influence of type C material (sirtu) mining to water quality of
Kampar tributary, erosion rate, pollution index, pollutant load, assimilation
capacity of Kampar tributary, social and economy condition of the community
around the mining location.
